I'm so fucking sick of CVS! There is this girl Michelle who I work with who smokes. Well by law when you work 8 hours you get a 30min brake. Well just because she smokes she gets to take as many brakes and how ever long she wants. Well there was this one day when her and I both got into work at 2 and worked 8 hrs. Well she took 3 10 min brakes to smoke and a 30 min brake to go get food and eat. So she got an hour brake and that day i didnt a brake nor did i get to eat and when i say something about it im told that me not getting to eat is my own fault and my problem and was told that if i left the pharmacy at that time i would get writen up. HOW IS THE FAIR. Just like Today she got her brakes and ate and made personal calls at work and i got yelled at for heating my food and eatting. All beacuse that ment the pharmaict had to help ring people up. I'm starting to think about asking the DM if she will give us the hours to where i can work midnights so that i dont have to deal with people at work. I was told that everyone is sick of my saying something. Well wait until they see me tmw because i am going to make it clear that not a damn one of them are my friends! That i'm there to work and get paid to pay my bills and that all of them could fucking fall of the face of the earth and I WONT GIVE A DAMN!!!! Just one more reason to looking forward to moving to KY. The sooner the better!!!!!

This happens in every retail store. Happened when I worked at PetCo. Boycotting the store won't help - but everyone who is pissed off and contacts upper management (like, your district manager or regional manager, or both) and letting them know what is going on, might do better.
And no, there is no law in MI stating that breaks must be given to employees - it's a corporate policy. And they don't have to pay you for your breaks, either.

what my problem is, is that she gets to take brakes but i get told ill get writen up if i eat.... and the DM knows whats going on and told me to try to work things out with my bosses and all they did want write me for talking to the DM
I get that it pisses you off - it pissed me off too when I had to deal with it. So, go higher. CVS has got to have a "chain of command" - go to the regional manager. If not her, call corporate. Raise a stink. They can't write you up for speaking to your superiors.
